Omokoroa, Bay of Plenty

The picturesque main Omokoroa Harbour is just a five minute drive from OMOKOROA THERMAL HOLIDAY PARK.

From here, you can launch your boat and head out for a day’s fishing, or jump in a kayak and explore the serene coastline. The Matakana barge leaves from this wharf several times each day, taking passengers to stunning Matakana Island.

The young ones will enjoy swimming in the calm harbour waters or searching for sea life when the tide is out.

Go fishing off the jetties, or have a picnic under one of the large shady trees that line the waterfront and take in the views.

There is a dairy/grocery store here where you can purchase fresh fruit and vegetables, sunscreen and…well… just about anything else you might need!

Esplanade Cafe & Restaurant  is also at the main Omokoroa harbour. Enjoy lunch, a nice glass of wine or a full evening meal on their large deck overlooking the water.
